Member Galleries - Marie Jacobsen
Marie is an artist of many talents and interests. A second generation Californian, her ability was spotted by teachers at a very early age. Art has remained her lifelong passion. By the age of nineteen, Marie was a published fashion illustrator and continued to work as a free-lance artist for a decade or more. She put away her brushes to run a successful business and raise her children. Retired from the business world, Marie enjoys using her special knack for detail. She spends hours-on-end sketching and painting, embracing her first loves, pen and ink, pencil, watercolor and Oriental brush painting.

Getting your work in the galleryIf you are a member of the Pinole Artisans and you want to see your artwork in this gallery, please drop off a cd for the webmaster at the Art Center with up to 30 jpg images. On the cd include a text document with a biographical statement or whatever statement you want to appear in your gallery. The photos should be no smaller than 650px x 650px at a resolution of at least 72ppi. If your files are larger I can resize them, but if they're smaller than this - they will not be usable. The file name for each photo should be the name of the piece as you want it to appear in your gallery. For example if the title of your piece is "Mice on a Block of Cheese" your file name should be "Mice on a Block of Cheese.jpg" (without the quotation marks). |
