Alicia Taylor Low is a mosaic artist, teacher, and creator of intentional art objects that weave together memory, devotion, and spiritual connection. Working from her East Bay studio, she creates mosaics that serve as emotional touchstones — pieces that help people stay connected to what they love, remember what matters, and ground themselves in beauty and meaning.
She is best known for her custom mosaic pet portraits, created for clients across the country as heartfelt memorials and living tributes. Each portrait is crafted through story, color, and deep listening, transforming glass into a lasting expression of love and presence. Her work has been praised for its emotional depth, craftsmanship, and quiet power.
Alicia’s practice has expanded into altar pieces, gemstone-infused ritual art, reflection card decks, and ceramic bells — all designed to hold intention and speak to the inner life. Her work sits at the intersection of the visible and invisible, where materials become symbolic, and broken pieces become part of something whole.
She regularly participates in regional arts events, including the El Cerrito Annual Art Show & Sale, and has hosted her own public artist talk for the Summer Solstice, exploring the way art can serve as devotion, remembrance, and transformation. Alicia also teaches hands-on creative workshops for kids and adults, helping others discover art not just as technique, but as a form of connection, inner listening, and truth-telling.
In her upcoming talk, Alicia will share how mosaic art became her spiritual awakening — and how creating for others revealed a calling rooted in service and meaning. She’ll speak about the emotional currents behind her work, the symbolism of materials, and the role of art as a form of healing and transformation.
