Meet Artist Attaboy - Upcycled Garden. Friday, July 11, 2025. 7 – 9 PM - Pinole Artisans

We are so very excited about our July meeting. Please come and join us to meet Attaboy!

With a commitment to creating and curating surprising forms of visual art, Daniel “Attaboy” Seifert has forged a varied artist career, often fusing subversion with disconcerting whimsy.

Attaboy’s work has been seen in museums, galleries, magazines, television and more. Atta’s Upcycled Garden project has toured to 13 locations and will be on view at the Hunter Museum of American Art in Tennessee throughout 2026, with an additional multi-storied installation version at the Museum of Art and History in Santa Cruz in July 2026.

Atta is the co-founder of Hi-Fructose: The New Contemporary Art Magazine, an influential print art publication which he began with his wife Annie Owens.

Atta is also the creator of Game of Shrooms, a global Art N Seek holiday and the creator of several kids and novelty books as well as animation properties and toy inventions now owned by big corporate overlords.

His influences include Alexander Calder, Maurice Nobel, Yayoi Kusama, Jean Dubuffet, Eyvinde Earle, Dr. Seuss, and the futurist Syd Mead. He lives in Richmond CA with Annie and their free range troublemaking lagomorph Lydia.
